A day for cleaning, weaving, and disentangling…

Experimental work requires people with a broad range of skills. Today we were meeting the intellectual challenges of window cleaning and weaving. Here some pics of men at work.

First, the mechanism for holding and dragging a net through to flume to remove floating debris is completed thanks to the weaving skills of Ben.

Second, we had to do some old-fashioned window cleaning. Luckily we had Colin on board to clean the windows inside and out (vinegar essenceĀ  – tip from Matthias – plus ‘elbow grease’ works a treat…), so we can see clearly now… well, at least until the flume is filled with muddy marsh….

And, finally, we had Kostas help disentangle cables and wires with Matthias making sense of a huge number of connectors and wires in the control room..
